Weekly Recap

So, TheReaderBee inspired my new weekly post! A lot of the times I’m reading books that I’m not reviewing or I want to tell you all something, and I think this will be a great way to do it: once a week so I can wrap everything up into one post. Hope you enjoy!!

I’ve had a huuuuuge book haul these past couple of days! I really felt like I deserved it hahaha.
All the books I’ve gotten have made me very, very excited to dive into them!

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne – I’ve heard incredible things about this and the description seems so incredible. Isn’t hate sex the best sex?

Never Never Part 3 by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher – I’ve been avoiding reading this just because I’ve heard it’s not the best, but I’ve read the first two parts and I’m finally ready to complete these wonderful but weird books!

Egomaniac by Vi Keeland – I’ve only ever read The Baller by Ms. Keeland and absolutely loved it! I’m super excited for Egomaniac. It sounds right up my alley!!

Becoming Rain by K.A. Tucker – Obviously, I loved the Ten Tiny Breaths series and I actually read Burying Water last year and I can’t wait to finish this series! Especially since her newest book, Until it Fades comes out in a few months!

Shut Out by Kody Keplinger – Y’all know how much I love Kody Keplinger. The DUFF is one of my all-time favorite novels I have ever read. Ever. A Midsummer’s Nightmare was also great so I’m obviously hella pumped to read Shut Out.

Shatter by Michael Robothom – Okay, so I actually bought this on New Year’s Day, but I’m putting it in with this haul. Recently, I’ve been trying to branch out from YA/NA just because I really want to broaden my horizons. Shatter is a mystery and it sounds like it’ll keep me up late into the night.

Bad Boy by Elliot Wake – Elliot Wake is fucking incredible. His three novels under Leah Raeder have all blown my goddamn mind. I’ve been waiting for Bad Boy for so long!

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson – I actually saw this on Chelsea Handler’s Snapchat and looked into it and it sounded fucking hilarious and amazing. So, I bought it!

The Spencer Cohen Series: Book One by N.R. Walker – I’m always looking for incredible queer romances and this one sounds awesome! I love that cover! All the heart eyes.

Taking Turns by J.A. Huss – My boss and I were discussing this novel at work and it seems so raunchy and dirty that we both immediately 1-Clicked it. It sounds extremely intriguing and sexy.

Mr. President by Katy Evans – I love Katy Evans a lot!!! I’m so stoked to start this one. A man in a suit whose father runs the country and then he himself eventually runs the country? Yes please.

I actually just finished Dead Girls Society by Michelle Krys! I’m hoping to have my review up in the next few days. It was very interesting and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you all.

I’m not sure which book to start next because I’ve purchased so many recently. It’ll probably be between The Hating Game, Never Never, and Becoming Rain.

What’s everyone currently reading?

I’m in the middle of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer binge. I watched the show for the first time a couple years ago and absolutely fell in love. And a few weeks ago, I had the biggest urge to rewatch the show and so I did and it was the best decision I’ve made in a while. Buffy and Spike forever!

I finally purchased the sixth season of Pretty Little Liars. If anyone knows me at all, they’d know I’m obsessed with that show. And for the longest time the sixth season was still on the upwards of $40 on Amazon and the other day I checked and it was only $16! I was so happy.

TGIT is back! I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy or Scandal, but I adore How to Get Away With Murder. Viola Davis is absolutely incredible. There’s something so addicting about the show. It’s suspenseful, shocking, and completely captivating.

I also bought Stuck in Love, which is a movie I have been wanting to watch for a while now!

I don’t really have anything else for this week, but I do want to tell you about a blog post I’d like to do. It’s pretty much just an opinion piece about how you should be able to read whatever you want to read and not be judged for it. Like, just because you read YA or NA doesn’t mean you’re somehow lesser than people who read these big hulking books that take months to read. You can already tell how I feel.

See you soon!
