“I was going to win her back. Not just her friendship. Her heart. Her love.”

Back of the book blurb:

He's got one shot to make it right...
He's Landon Rhodes. The Renegade they call Nova.Sinfully gorgeous, broody, tatted-up, professional snowboarder.
They say a girl broke him once--That's why he's so reckless, so driven, so careless with his conquests. But I'm that girl. They can call me his curse all they want.He and I both know the truth--He's the one who destroyed me,And I'm too smart to let that happen again.

My rating:

I’ve been looking forward to the next installment in The Renegades series since Wilder blew me away! And I finally got around to reading it after The Longest Reading Slump in the entire world. And of course, Rebecca Yarros did not disappoint. Her writing always packs a punch and Nova was no different.

“But while I almost broke the Renegades, Landon destroyed me. Annihilated me. I gave up everything for him, and he walked away without a backward glance.”

I think that it is pretty safe to say that one of my favorite tropes is the girl who has been broken before and she’s determined to guard her heart. I’m not sure why this trope is my favorite, but it is.

Either way, Rachel, our protagonist, is fucking amazing. She is so badass and strong and just absolutely incredible. Her strong voice is inspiring and she made me laugh and she made me cry. I just really enjoyed her a lot.

“I called you Supernova for a reason. Sometimes all I could do was sit back and watch you go.”

OH NOVA aka Landon. Another favorite of mine, obviously, is the player turned husband trope. I guess I just really like the idea that out there somewhere is your soul mate and once you find them, no one else will matter. Sigh. It me: the hopeless romantic.

Anyway, I adored Landon. I adored how hard he fought for Rachel. I adored how much he adored Rachel. Nova was so dreamy. I want him chasing after me, if I’m being honest.

“You are not a curse. You were his compass, his North Star, his constant. And then you were gone.”

The angst! Oh, the angst! What would a Rebecca Yarros novel be if it weren’t for the angst? And trust me, Nova is full of it. And I love it. There are just so many great things about this novel. It was an incredible installment to this series and I’m so excited for the next book!!

Happy Reading!
Love,
