5 Book to Movie Adaptations I'm Excited For

by - 2:26 PM

2018 seems to be shaping up pretty well for book fans… well… unless you’re one of those people who just can’t stand book to movie adaptations. Like… I get it. The book is always better. But there really is something special about seeing your favorite characters come to life on the screen in front of you. It’s magical. Hence, this post.

Here are five book to movie adaptations that are coming out in 2018 that I am super duper excited for!

Maze Runner: The Death Cure

Release Date: January 26, 2018

One of my favorite things in this entire world is watching Dylan O’Brien sweat for two hours. And now that Teen Wolf has concluded, I need my DOB fix ASAP!

Fifty Shades Freed

Release Date: February 9, 2018

I get it… Fifty Shades isn’t for everyone and the books are terribly written, but guess what? This just proves the point that story will always trump writing. I haven’t even read the books, if I’m being honest. I think the movies are pretty great, though. Obviously, they have their flaws, but I’m excited for the climax (hehe).

Every Day

Release Date: February 23, 2018

God, it’s been sooooo long since I’ve read Every Day, but I’m really excited for this movie! I didn’t even know it was going to be a movie until a few days ago! The trailer looks absolutely fantastic!!! Emotional and perfect.

Love, Simon

Release Date: March 16, 2018

I had been wanting to read Simon vs The Homosapiens Agenda since it came out; however, the fact that it was being made into a movie pushed me into finally reading it. And I am so fucking glad I did. It was beautiful. The movie looks just as phenomenal and I can’t wait to cry my little eyes out once it’s over!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

Release Date: TBD

GOD I AM SO HAPPY THIS IS BEING MADE INTO A MOVIE. I think it’s coming out this year, but I’m not really sure? It might be in the second half of the year. Either way, SO MANY GREAT THINGS… especially the fact that Janel Parrish (Mona from PLL) is playing Margot!!! I just know they’re going to do great things with this film.

Like I said, 2018 is shaping up to be a great year for films! I actually have a question… would you guys like to see me review films as well as books? I actually used to review them for my college’s newspaper. That could be interesting. Just let me know!

Happy Reading (and watching)!
