REVIEW: Legacy (PSU #4) by Kandi Steiner

“What’s college without a little drama?”

Back of the book blurb:

Drama. Lies. Sex.

Welcome to Palm South University.

The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in South Florida. At a school where fraternities and sororities don’t exactly play by the rules, relationships are bound to be tested. Parties and sex are definitely key ingredients in the Palm South recipe, but what happens when family issues, secret lives, and unrequited love get tossed in the mix?

Follow Cassie, Bear, Jess, Skyler, Erin, Ashlei, and Adam as they tackle college at a small, private beach town university. Written in television drama form, each episode of this serial will pull you deeper and deeper into the world of PSU.

Where the sun is hot and the clothes are scarce, anything can happen.

My rating:

Kandi Steiner’s passion project is what I can only hope to write someday. The PSU series, which is written like a television serial, is one of the hottest and most entertaining series of books that I’ve ever read. It literally feels like you’re binging one of your favorite sexy dramas on Netflix. Each episode is filled with so much drama and sex and each character will have you laughing or crying or throwing your Kindle across the room. You can take my word for this one—once you start PSU, you will not be able to stop.

“I mean, seriously, is there anything more terrifying than showing someone your heart and just hoping they’ll stick around after they see the crazy shit inside it?”

I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book for… A LONG TIME. I first binged the series last summer right before PSU #3 came out and god, they are just incredible. They’re filled with Kandi’s signature angst, but there’s a lightheartedness to them that gives you a welcome break from anything soul-shattering. They’re just as addictive as Kandi’s other novels and the steam factor is always kicked up to an 11. You will fall in love with these characters and you will hate these characters and you will laugh with these characters. And by the end, you’ll wonder where the time went, because you were just having a blast.

“In the meantime, there are parties that need raging, kegs that need draining, and boys who need draining.”

Honestly? I could only wish my college experience was exciting as PSU. But, like I said, PSU is filled with a lighthearted invincibility that courses through college students’ blood. Life seems like it will last forever, but only until the next scandal pops up and then it feels like your life is completely over.

The best part is that is truly written like a television serial, so everything happens extremely fast and you’re never waiting too long for your favorite characters to hook up or to mend their broken hearts.

“But the truth is, I’m not a goddess. I can break.”

SO much drama. You will be chomping at the bit to find out what happens next in each episode. I can definitely say that I’ve never hated a character that Kandi has written until this book. But, I love that she still makes it relatable. Sure, you will hate this character, but you also empathize with why they are doing what they are doing and it’s infuriating and also rewarding, because, wow, we love morals. PSU is just so juicy!

Please, pick up Legacy as soon as possible and if you haven’t started the series yet, well… welcome to your new addiction!

“Buckle up, Palm South University. You ain’t seen nothing yet.”

Happy Reading!

Love,
The Wandereader
